2026 is the year the work left the building.
On stage
- January: Emory University's MSBA program.
- August 10: the American Sociological Association, New York: how federal fentanyl policy language shifts across election cycles, with Nan Li of the University of Florida.
- September 22 and 23: three seminars at the University of Florida.
- November 1 to 4: INFORMS, San Francisco.
- November 18: the American Society of Criminology, Chicago: following that policy language from documents to posts to comments.
The first customers
For years this was the missing piece. Not anymore. A Washington lobbying firm is adopting Thinkwell. It tested a simulation-first competitor, paused that purchase, and chose to wait for Thinkwell because it trusted the method. Pulp is finalizing terms with a second customer, and a Los Angeles County agency has signed a non-binding letter of intent for Thinkwell for Local Government.
A company with the right shape
In August 2026, Pulp Corporation was incorporated in Delaware to carry the work forward. Investors who hold notes in Pulp Internet Corporation are being offered an exchange into Pulp Corporation; chapter 8 explains it in plain English.
Pricing for what software does now
For twenty years, software was priced per seat, because its value grew with the number of people using it. AI breaks that. When a tool does the work of several people, charging per person punishes the customer for using it well, and when words are nearly free to generate, pricing on what the model can do makes no sense either. Pulp prices on the value of the outcome. A measurement company should charge for measured value.
